Urantia Book Academy

Vision & Mission

The Urantia Book Academy (UBA) is a project of the Rodan Institute. UBA’s vision is to bring scholarly rigor to the advanced study of The Urantia Book in such a way that fosters the cosmic religion of the future. As researchers, academics, teachers, and educational leaders, we provide interpretations of the UB that interface directly with current knowledge outside of the Urantia text, focusing on such fields as cosmology, philosophy, religion, theology, and spirituality—and including a special emphasis on the broad Christian tradition. We also aim to foster an atmosphere of transdisciplinary inquiry that always remains open to emergent religious, cosmological, and philosophical ideas, including the possibility of new revelation.

To implement the UBA mission, we will provide the followings services in the coming years:

• Publish the new periodical, The International Journal of Urantia Book Studies
• Hold invitational conferences in which new papers are presented
• Publish books or monographs pertinent to the critical study of The Urantia Book
• Develop educational resources and materials to support the study and dissemination of Urantia Book teachings
• Whenever possible, reach out to and cooperate with other scholarly institutions
